Teaching WhatMatters
Teaching has never been only about lessons on a whiteboard for me. It’s about character, effort, curiosity, and helping people believe they can improve. The classroom taught me that progress is built in small reps — the same way you learn a new trick on the water or find your line on a mountain.
That’s why I care about practical growth, not just big speeches. Places like Edutopia share learning ideas that focus on real students and real classrooms, and that spirit sticks with me. Outside school, I try to live those same values at home and in sport. You can see more of that balance on Dad Life and in Sunrise Sessions & Slow Mornings.
What matters most is showing up consistently. Whether I’m coaching a mindset, chasing a session, or building memories with my family, the goal is the same: leave people better than I found them. Learn more about my story on About Me, or browse Photos for moments that capture that everyday path.
